Your recommendations please....

I have a Scorpion HALF Helmet with a recessed face shield. Not exterior to the helmet but recessed inside of it.

Is there another brand (make and model) HALF helmet that you would recommend for me to look at?

I do not use the drop down shield since I wear prescription glasses. It is very light and is the most comfortable helmet I have ever worn.

I second that, love mine, best fitting helmet I've ever owned. Thought the drop shield was just a gimmick till I started using it on cold or dewy mornings and the Bell is easy to change with a few tint options also.

 

i have a cheap BILT, the drop down has a HUGE cutout around your nose, so I only use it when it is raining or SUPER bright out, but it does great for those times

I recently bought this one. Not my favorite as it's not nearly as comfortable as my HD half, but I wanted the visor for the sun and didn't like any of the current HD designs with the visor. Unfortunately the visor is cut out high around the nose so it still lets a lot of light in. It's not nearly dark enough either. I ended up putting a couple of strips of black electrical tape across the top of the visor to use as a sun shade. Paint is already coming off too. Wouldn't buy again.

 

 

+1 on the ultra light from H-D. Comes with an tinted drop down. I found the tinted shield to be a problem since I always wear sunglasses. Specifically, when cought in the rain and need the added protection, it makes it almost impossible to see. I just had to purchase the clear shield to replace the tinted one.

My Lady uses a HJC half helmet that is also very nice and less exspensive, that has a clear drop down shield as well.
