Default Throw over saddle bags

Has anyone tried using throw over saddle bags on their Slim? I’m considering some but my bike has the Harley denim paint and is sure to scuff without some protection. Possibly sewing thick felt or fleece backing to the bags?

Don't go Throwover, go quick release, like Easybrackets.

They'll mare the paint where ever they sit & rub unless you run standoff brackets of some kind which look dick without the bags on.

yra, I already have quick release mounts for my sissy bar. So can’t use at same time.

I have some saddlebag fender protectors on all my throw-over bags. I forget who makes them, but they do a really good job. Just google it and you'll find a lot of stuff.

Different bike but I just installed some LeatherPros saddlebags on my '17 Slim. They are quick detach and compatible with the HD Detachables quick release sissy bar. Expensive but so far I love them.

What this brother said right here. No joke you're going pay extra for LeatherPros but you'll never regret the purchase. I had them on my Dyna, they have the best quick release system on any bag, anywhere. And eventually I'm going to dump my factory Heritage bags and go with theirs.
