Hi, I have the Harley slash cuts model 64910-99. I prefer a quiet or slightly above stock ride. Not a loud pipe fan.
The design is strange - it has two tubes in it but if I shine a flashlight through the muffler from the engine side it only goes through one pipe? There doesn't seem to be anything going on in the other tube. What is the working principle there?
Any baffle that may exist is welded in so aside from butchery not many options. Any suggestions on quieting down? A lollipop could reduce popping but not many options on placement. These have very little value so not wanting to put lipstick and modeling school into this pig.. Suggestions appreciated!
The pipes aren't as bad as I made them out to be but look no further than lollipops. Made the sound more tolerable, slightly lower in sound pressure but without the nagging beotch aesthetic. I welded my own lollis about the same diameter as the small diameter pipe, mounted about 1 or 1.5 inches away from that pipe.
