I just got some Harley Daymaker LED fog lamps and the wiring instructions have NO pictures or diagrams in them. For my 2023 Ultra Limited it says the following:
Bat Wing models: Access the four-way auxiliary lamp connector [C31LA/C31RA] on one side. Separate the connector halves. Plug this harness in between the two separated connectors.
My 2023 Harley Touring factory service manual only shows pictures for a Road King. NO pictures at all for batwing or sharknose bikes. Pretty disappointing. I've googled around a bunch and the only fog light installs I can find are different models that use their own wiring. These lights use a harness part number 69201109 that plugs inline with the existing passing lamps using the plug called C31LA/C31RA. I've got so much junk in my fairing I can't find where the passing lamp wires go. Have any of y'all installed one of these kits (68000386) or has anyone seen a diagram listing the location of that C31LA/C31RA plug?
Well I'm not sure if I found the EXACT plug the instructions wanted me to use, but I found one that works. I took off the brake side bracket that holds the turn signal and passing lamp and found a plug under there that matched the one in the harness. I plugged the harness in line with it and everything seems to work.
Not a bad addition. I like that the wiring was so simple compare to the aftermarket lights. Still might add a couple more lights around the radiator grills that double as turn signals later on. Also maybe upgrade the passing lamps to the Eagle version IIIs, from what I've read they are even brighter than the stock LED units.
