Your gonna love it! I hope it doesn't take you all weekend to install it ( only should take about an hour to hour and a half) take your time routing the wiring harness and triple check that nothing is getting pinched when you lower it.

The shotgun was the best purchase I made on my softail. You're going to love it.

ok... I have to ask... what is a shotgun? besides a gun.

I guess I've been away from soft tails too long.

You must be joking right?
Hell for a while there I thought they were going to rename this forum to "Shotgun Shocks and Everything Else".

It's an air suspension for softails.
It apparently provides the softest ride and also allows for the bike to be "slammed" with a flip of a switch.
The drawback of them is apparently the inherent maintenance issues that comes with an air system and the price >$1250.

The vast majority of those who have it say they love it which is understandable seeing that if I spent $1250+ on a pair of shocks I'd say I love it too whether or not I actually did.

I am not sure what inherent maintenance issues there are with it. I haven't done any maintenance on mine and it still works like day one. It is a large bill to swallow all at once, but once you have one you will never go back.

I do agree with there being too many threads on it for a period of time though. Kind of glad that has calmed down. But when people love a product it's hard to keep them quiet about it. Wait until the Apple iwatch comes out. Those fan bois will put us SS ones to shame.
