Default Starter Problems

Hey everyone, So I'm having a problem with my 1999 FXSTB nightrain. My starter keeps failing and I can't figure it out. The first time I had it rebuilt and it worked for about two weeks and then the casing cracked so I bought a brand new one. I put it in and its been about two months and maybe 15 starts and it has gone out again. It is for sure the starter shaft that keeps going out. I'm pretty sure that it doesn't start at the starter. Is there something I'm missing or something after the starter that could be causing this? Any help out there?

Thanks,
William

Replace the two bushings inside the primary (the inner, and the outer covers both have a bushing). They may be worn. The outer one on mine was severely scored after 12 yrs.
