Thanks for the info guys.Makes a lot of sense as far as keeping bubbles from the oil,etc.Have to admit I also like the way the ST oil tanks look!

As pointed out, all HDs use a separate oil bag. Your Dyna's oil tank isunderneath the tranny. Your tranny is actually a separate piece from the engine and is just bolted to the engine.

Also the St's are the only ones with the external oil lines that show. Again keeping with the hard tail of the past theme.

I don't think the touring bike oil pan would fit a softail, due to the space the shocks take up under there. And it also has the look of the old hardtail like was said, and that's what the whole bike is about. With the right add ons, you can make them look like their right out of the fourties. I think it's cool.
