Default A little help w Heritage tail light wiring

I am changing my turn signal bar in the rear of my 2k Heritage. There are 2 wires going into the signal light bulb socket. The black wire looks to be a plug that just pulls out but the black one I'm not so sure. It has a rubber plug going into the socket. Can anyone confirm if this black wire will also just unplug if I pull it? I don't want to try to pull it out until I am sure. Thanks!

On my 2000 you have to take the brake light cover off and in plug the wire from there. Fish it under the fender and then remove the lamp socket, wire and all. That wire does not come out of the fixture. I would assume your is the same. You could just could cut and then splice it back but removing is not that hard and splices can corrode in that harsh environment.
