Default It's a non-starter!

My 1997 FLSTSC Classic was stored in a heated garage with a battery tender connected. I go to fire it up yesterday to get it ready for the new riding season and... nothing, no click, nothing! All the dash light work, signals, brakes, hi-lo beam, passing lamps... everything works but still... nothing! Took it off the winter stand and rocked it in 2nd gear just "incase' and still... nothing no click. I have no alarm on the bike and it's a carburetor model. All fuses look good, all connections are tight, checked under the dash and all is in place and the battery is new last fall so, a real mystery to me. Any suggestions? About ready to take it down to the dealer for the first time ever!

Check for power at switch. Check for power at starter solenoid. Multimeter set to DC. Start there and good luck.

Default Problem solved.

Okay, I tested everything and finally I was able to narrow it down to the switch housing and ultimately, the "KILL" switch was corroded. It took about 3 hours and the replacement of the Starter Relay (which was only $8 at LORDCO). But here's a 20/20 hindsight tip, all I had to do to "check" the KILL switch was to hold the starter button down and toggle the kill switch. Toggling the kill switch caused the starter to "kick" and therefore, the "KILL" switch was the culprate. Keep this in mind for your next no-start project.

Wow. Glad you got this solved easily dude. That sounded like it was going to be a nightmare to trouble shoot.
