Default Jw Speaker Evo 2 Breakout ?

So I am confused I want to get the evo 2 for my breakout but the measurements just dont add up. It is a 7" headlight i have seen this so called adapter ring they say will allow it to fit but can someone help me understand how a 7" light can fit into a 5 3/4 housing when you add an adapter to it? I apologize ahead of time if this has been posted before i tried searching and and couldn't find it. I am new to this site and new to Harley it was time to move on from the rice rocket. I never thought I would be stumped by a headlight and im not paying for that daymaker. Any help is much appreciated

You cannot fit a 7" light into the 5 3/4" housing. You could buy a 7" housing and install it, then fit a 7" light. Or, you could buy the 5 3/4" version of the bulb, but they do not make it in the newest version yet.

By Bulb you mean headlight? I thought I was going crazy the guy I spoke to on the Phone was telling me it will fit as long as i get the adapter ring which allows it to sit in the headlight correctly.

Not gonna happen. It's the old 2 lbs. of **** in a 1 lb. bag. I just put the JW 7" in my 2013 Heritage and it was a direct fit without the adapter ring.

We talked about it here:

They don't make the Evolution 2 in 5 3/4". I've looked. they can't fit the second set of "D" lights in the 5 3/4" housing .

I bought a Drag 7" bucket for the truck light TL7 (it snapped the ears off). I won't get into that.
I then bought a Fatboy 7" bucket but was to gun shy to put it on after the Drag fiasco.
So I bought a Springer 5 3/4" bucket and went with the HD Daymaker. It's a re-branded JW Speaker light, but only has the 2 "D" lights not 4 "D" lights. Plus the hi/low.
These are still available.
