Went to dealer to test 2015 Softail Delux and walked out with a 2014 FatBoy Lo. Saved some $$ but more important I just felt more comfortable on the FLSTFB. Waiting for parts to come in. (Spent all the money I saved)
Nice bike, great color. I did the same thing of buying a new leftover and saved more than I thought would be allowable. Makes you wonder what the markup must be. I also have almost spent what I saved, but I would have done that no matter what I bought.
Every time I read a thread like this I get closer to 2 things: buying a new(er) Hog and a divorce for buying a new (to me) Hog. Every time it seems like a better deal.
did the same thing. bought a 14 Fattie and saved some stupid money. Of course I went over and spent it at the parts counter. Just do yourself a favor and install everything yourself. Besides saving more money you can learn your bike. Get a service manual too!
I bought my new 2013 110 anniversary lo in October when the 15's just came out and they had it marked down $4000. Went in to buy a used 04' fatboy but for the extra 7k decided the better interest rate, 103", and 6spd out weighed the used purchase not to mention the sexy paint sceme was calling my name.
Putting on V&H Big Shots, Screamin Eagle Extreme Billet Air Filter, LED Headlight, Speedometer/Tachometer Console, Bought bags, then canceled them (not a big fan of bags), medium sissy bar w/lugggage rack (to tie a smaller bag to). I am about to pull the trigger on the Reaper 17" wheels, powder coated black as I am not a big fan of the stock bullet hole wheels. I'll let you know how it goes.
