Default Does the HD SAE to USB adaptor discharge the battery when bike is turned off?

I want to install an SAE to USB adaptor from my battery tender and run a Lighting Cables up under my tank to exit where all the other wires do so I can have a phone charger to hook into from my iPhone mount on my handlebars. My question is Does the HD adaptor drain the battery when nothing is plugged in and the bike is off. I have heard that they all do, but that seems illogical to me. I can understand if they have an LED light it will slowly drain, but I do not think the HD adaptor has an LED light.

Thanks.

can't imagine why it would unless you left something plugged in to charge, even then I don't believe it would be enough to drain a battery... ie; once a phone is charged it stops drawing power.

Since an iPhone is a 5 volt device and the HD battery is a 12 volt device, there is a voltage converter on the USB device. There is a slight utilization of this device just to be hooked up. I would guestimate that it would take months on a well performing battery before you noted any loss, but a poorly performing battery could note the draw in a few weeks I suppose.

I've used after market battery tread to cigarette lighter adapter that has had a slow draw over time. Not sure if it was with or without the usb connector or not. Definitely left my bike without juice once and encouraged me to hook up the battery tender every night

So i have 1 NO, 1 maybe a little but not much, and 1 YES.

I am inclined to say yes it does, but if the bike has to be off for more than a month to drain I don't care as I ride it way more than once per month.
