These are my favourite pipes. So I looked on their website for a set to go on my 09 FXSTC and they don't do them. Only up to 2006. I go to my local independent who says they do. So ordered some and got them fitted. Turns out they do fit but don't look right. (See pic) V & A say they're not for my bike.
The support bracket needs to be re-drilled and they should sit straight. I want them like the second pic.
My question is what are the differences between the pre-2006 and 2006 up Softails. I know the engine changed from the 88 to 96, but isn't it essentially the same frame etc?
