Default Question/help please.

Ok, so I ride an 08 Softail Custom, and i need a way to attach a cane to my bike safely first and without looking crazy bad. 4 weeks ago i fell and broke my right leg. Doc says in 3 or 4 weeks the aircast will be off, but I will be walking with a cane for a bit. Anyone have or seen a nice clean way to mount a cane safe?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bungee cord it to your handlebars. I've thought about this myself, since my knees are getting worse.

Or get a folding cane and strap it the the front end or sissy bar or put it in a saddlebag.

Maybe you should look at how the shot gun is mounted on the Fat Boy that Arnold rides in Terminator 2.

Greg House used a couple of broomstick holders to attach a cane to his Honda CBR.

Perhaps the best solution is to get a telescopic cane. They make them where they collapse down to 9".

I know of a couple local cats who made mounts out of PVC and used nice clamps to mount the to their bikes after having them painted black. Unfortunately they were both riding baggers so for mounting sake their location won't be compatible with your softy setup. I think it would be badass to make a similar mount and use a couple clamps between the triple trees and have the pipe run parallel to the left front fork. Obviously you would need to make many clearance checks first...Depending on the diameter of your cane, an old fork tube could be used and you would have a seriously solid chrome cane mount!
