Those are good numbers for the mr103, but i think it kicks in just a little later then i want. Everything i have read on the 222 looks to be what i want. Seems to come on around 2200 and hits 100+tq by around 26-2700 rpm. Then holds threw 4300. So i think ill be going with it. My blackline is fairly light, and i shift at about 4k. So a low to mid range cam fits me better i believe

I agree. If you ride 2up, and shift at 4000, get the 222. If you go with a powervision and purchase it from fuelmoto, they will load a tune for the cams that will be sufficient until you autotune or dyno it. Good luck.

I see 4500 rpm very rarely.

Bob L likes to tune with tts, and it won't leave till it's right. They did my install too. You won't be disappointed if you get and know what you want.

Im looking g for power from 2-4.5k rpm and seems the 222 fits the bill

I dont know very much about cams and i wont claim to haha. But from what i have been reading on here it depends on what your trying to achieve.
Are you wanting low end grunt, high end pull? Plan on upping your compression?
There is no end all be all cam, that i know for sure l. Some will give decent gains throught the rpm range. Some will give killer low end and mid range but fall short on the high end and vise verse.
Whats your riding style?

I havent read any replies so forgive me if anyone has suggested the S&S MR103 cams...

I did them in March... Beyond satisfied. No headwork needed. But i did upgrade my oil pump to the screaming eagle. They offer chain cams and gear driven, i opted for the Gear. Im also running short shots, RSD velocity stack intake, and Fuelpak. All i can say is im very happy with my power.

I have looked into them. Looks like a great cam. But i want the power to kick in sooner then the do. I dont see much high rpms above 4k

So i was reallybwatchimg my rpms on a little ride. I noticed i will go up to about 4500 or so when im getting on it. So i may rethink the cam choice a little.
