Bowman sissy on a slim

I should be getting a bowman sissy bar in the mail tomorrow. Going to put it on a slim. Here's what I'm wondering; do I need to take the reflectors off the rear fender before installing the sissy bar?

I THINK I'll ask here since I've never seen a bowman sissy bar except in pictures (and most of those pictures here)
