Default Seat mounting question

whats the insert in the fender called that you bolt the back of your seat down to, need to order a flush one but can't find them when I do a search. Thanks

You did not say what year or Bike but I think most softail share the same part.

Looking at the parts it appears the retain clip and under fender nut come as a kit:

59768-97

Here is the website I like that has part numbers:

When fitting the under seat nut, I use a piece of safety wire and pull the part up through the hole, your fingers will most likely not reach.

I use a tie wrap to do the same thing. It keeps you from dropping it. Don't ask how I know. (Lost one on my Street Bob)
