Purchased a 2009 Heritage Softail in May. Love riding it and have put on about 4k miles. However, I get bar wobble a lot. With both hands on the bars, it is not noticeable. But, I go to one hand and it is there. Seems to occur mainly between 35 - 40 mph, but other times seems constant at all speeds.
I have adjusted tire pressure in the front tire several times, but never seem to find the sweet spot to make it go away. Tire is new, with no cupping or dry rot.
Help anyone?

Make sure everthing on the front end is properly tightened. That may not be it, but I had an issue with the forks twisting. I didn't have a wobble, but it just didn't feel right when running straight down the road and in curves it felt like it wanted to head for the pavement. Kind of gave me that pucker factor. The dealer figured it out and retorqued everything. Problem solved.

The way they found it was they locked the front wheel down and pushed the handle bars left and right. If you can find a way to brace the wheel in the vertical position, give it a try. Can't hurt..

 

Check the pinch bolts on the triple tree. I had a broken one. Caused a low speed wobble.

 

Had the same problem off and on.
Ended up putting "Ride-on" in the tires and the problem is gone.

 

Check the tightness of your spokes. Most of us check them by tapping on them. They should have a resonant "ping" when tight. If they are loose, they will have a lower pitch sound relative to the others.

 

Neck bearings, spokes, and tire wear/cupping, would be the most likely culprits.

 

Also check fall away.

 

Check your tire pressure, especially the front. I like to check mine with the wheels OFF the ground. I think you get a more accurate reading
