Default Question about Memphis Shades Windshield

Hello all. Need some help.
I own a 2007 Fatboy that I bought with the OEM detachable windshield docking bolts (on the side of each fork). The OEM Harley windshield was broken so I never installed it.
I want to buy a new Memphis Shades Bullet Fairing that I like but I don't know if the OEM docking bolts are compatible with Memphis Shades mounting hardware.
Anyone knows???

Any help appreciated

Just out of curiosity, have you tried contacting Memphis Shades and asking them?

Yes I did. Their reply was "You should buy our complete mounting system" (mounting hardware and docking bolts). The reason I am asking if anyone knows is because it seems to me that it should fit. Distances are the same, width is the same etc. That's why I am asking because I might repair the OEM windshield so I want to use both (fairing and windshield) with the same docking...
I think that maybe there is someone that had the same "problem" in the forum...

Easy answer is no.....if you use any of the Memphis Shades products you are going to need their docking kit. Nice thing is you can attach any and all of their products with it. I switch from batwing to windshield to nothing at all.

+1 Memphis Shades have a completely different setup than the H-D Quick Detach system.

Do you mean the Harley OEM docking mounts? And they worked with Memphis Shades?
Can't tell from the picture

yes that's what I did. I like the Memphis Shades locking system better than the HD system. Here's what goes on the side of the forks:

They go where the little screws holding the cover behind the headlight are. they are a hard to find thread pitch 5/16" 24 thread. you can probably get a kit from the dealership but I made mine since it was so expensive.

that hardware came with the mounts I got used off ebay...it wouldn't work with my bike I think it's for a sportster.

Thanks a lot man. This is the OEM docking system already installed on my FatBoy. So since you've tried it with Memphis Shades and worked I might go ahead and buy the bullet fairing from them.
