FP3 Question with 2015 Heritage Softail
Hi,
I have a 2015 Heritage Softail. It has Harley Street Cannon mufflers and Harley did a Stage 1 upgrade on the bike. Would an FP3 help also on this set up. Would I notice a big difference in performance. I currently experience some decal popping. Is this a simple plug & play and ride type situation or do I really need to know how to do the programming with the FP3. Thanks for any help with my questions.

I just did this to my '15 slim...I had slip on's that had a lot of popping...I picked up a complete exhaust an the FP3....tuning took a few minutes an was easy, just select the exhaust you have an follow the prompts.
I had lots of popping on decel...now it rarely pops, I only notice it if I snap the throttle shut at higher rpm's. My mileage increased an the oil temp on the dipstick reads a little lower.
I'm very happy with it.

I did pipes first then bought the FP3 months later and just installed a ArlenNess BigSucker today. Doing things backwards is the story of my life. The biggest differents was the intake. I ran a tune when I first got the FP3 and it ran better but after taking it out today with the new intake I'm smiling like a fat kid with two cakes. Reading all you can from Vance Hines will of course help you get the most out of it.

I have a 2014 heritage with Rush slip-ons and a Big sucker air cleaner. Added those and then installed the FP3.
The addition of these mods totally woke up the bike. Night and day difference. Installation of the FP3 is simple. Plug it into the bike. Follow the instructions on your Bluetooth-enabled phone and you'll be thrilled. FP3 was the best money I've ever spent.

I did stage 1 on both my 2012 & 2016 Fatboy Lo's and I only put the FP3 on after a couple of weeks and it made a huge difference. The motors run cooler, no decel popping, better gas mileage and there is definitely more low end torque. Both motors also run smoother. The 2012 has LA Choppers heavy breather with SE slipons, and the 2016 has V&H BR 2-2, and a SE heavy breather, I recommend the FP3. The app has also got better in terms of capability over time as V&H consistently improve the app like most other apps in the online store. I would follow jkinner's advise and download the app for free and have a play with the demo, I think you'll be impressed. Good luck.
