^ well put. All of those early reactions to it being "too smooth. It feels like a Honda" we're way off base. Especially as it breaks in. It really pulses like a rubber mounted Evo once it gets going, but no harsh buzz anywhere. Very nice feeling on the road and a constant companion. This motor has a lot of character.

Thanks for the thread and the posts. I appreciate the input as I am waiting to see and ride the 114 Anniversary Blue/Black before I trade in my 09 Superglide. I love the looks of the new Heritage, especially with the passenger seat removed. I have checked out the SG 114 Anniversary and they are beautiful but I agree the weight difference makes the Heritage the bike for me. I have been told they will be available before the first of the year, If anyone sees one, please let me know.

Seeing more and more people like this poster, the OP, and ME! No Millennial buyers here, just long time riders who appreciate, lighter, leaner, well designed and executed motorcycles. Good Stuff!

I'm just starting to get straight from my chrome addiction when looking at the new Heritage...... but I'm not there yet. Regardless, it is a beautiful bike and I'm lusting after the new platform and engine...... But I bought my '16 HSC in September and I'm just not ready to give up all the shine and farkle...... And I went from a '14 Street Glide to the HSC for exactly the same reasons as the OP! Enjoy the new bike!!!

Very nice! I have the same color but mine is the 107". Great bike, very comfortable out of the box. I'm going to be adding a different seat for added comfort on longer trips and the Tour Pak to double as storage and a decent backrest for my wife. She complains that the one we're using now is too low and I would have to agree.

So far I've added little things like grips, mustache engine guard, smoked lenses, smoked LED lay back tail light, etc. It's a bummer we have to spend money for the backrest and engine guard now, and this seat is definitely not as comfortable as the "old" Heritage seat, but I can live with all of that for the more modern looks.

Looks great Kaptain, my FXDC is all black and chrome, hate to part with it but sure love the Anniversary Blue/Black. Close to yours, reminds me of Lapis. A few Anniversary Heritages are trickling out, saw a new video and photos at KoKomo HD in Indiana, it was sold when I called this am. My sales guy says the end of the month before I see one in Virginia. Just got home from a 28 degree ride home, I need better gloves.

My last HD was a 2015 Streetglide which I gave up due to weight and left hand clutch issues. I got my Heritage at the end of October and am considering it the best riding of the previous 6 Harleys that I've owned. The new suspension coupled to the 114 motor makes for one great bike.
PS: Mine was a Sept build.
