last fall i bought a 2017 slim for a great price. i had no interest in a new m8, i liked the old school looks and feel of the 17.
and then i rode an 18. oops. my 17 was junk compared to the 18
apparently there are enough guys that still like the old bikes, and are scared of the m8 to get me a pretty sweet deal. i was able to trade my 17 in for $900 less than i paid for it, walk out with an 18, with $2000 off msrp, $1000 in parts and my payment went down $20.
as for the bike, this thing is incredible, one of the best engines i've owned, the suspension is amazing, and i keep finding little bonus features and improvements on the bike. anyone who wants to bash the new softails really needs to get in and ride one. you won't be disappointed. i know there will likly be some issues that work through with this engine, but i honestly don't care, i'm in love with it.

Beautiful bike! I bit the bullet and bought one as well. I'm Loving the new M8. Whats the windshield you have on yours?
