fairing on softail

Made these last summer.
Not completely in love with this design.
I built what I sketched but it has a slightly Alien look. Grew on me.
Also has a "dampening affect on the front end at higher speeds. (very nice feeling)
Working on a full batwing type now. Smallish, sporty. Victory inspired lines.
Have a 5 3/4" headlight for that. Will make a new Bikini that is a little shorter and wider than the first one. "have to break e few eggs"?
With QR so I can swap them out.
Wish my bags had hidden hardware. REALLY want to change the rear fender to a strutless one.

The great thing about owning a harley is you can make it your own. I've owned both tour and softail models and prefer softail. Sitting in the bike is better than on it. I am more comfortable riding all day on my Fatboy than I was on my Road Glide. People approach me and say "Wow, never seen a dressed Fatboy. Very Nice." It gives other riders ideas on what they can do to their bikes. So moral of the story is do what you want and what makes you comfortable. There are no rules to what you can do to your bike. That's half the fun!!
I would love to put a fairing on my Heritage. The problem is matching the paint. My bike is custom painted and with no paint code, I’m having hell trying to find someone that can match it. My only alternative is to remove the front fender and send it all to my pained in Florida. I don’t want the bike to be down for 2-3 months, plus the expense of shipping.

Had a REckless on my Delux and was very happy with it. Went touring route and now back to softail with a FAtboy. Tried an ebay fairing but it needs some shaping to suit me so it's currently off getting modified.
I went with the Memphis shades bullet fairing. I had to do some modifications to get the mounts to work on my FXSE (they only offered the mounts for the FXSB). It works to knock the wind off my body a little bit but it directs a lot to my head. I still like the look for what I am doing with this bike.
