I can't believe Harley would overlook something like highway pegs....I'm hoping there will be other options in the near future.

@druski. I had a 2016 Street Glide Special. Traded in for a 2018 fatbob. Like you I grew up on dirt and sport bikes. The glide was a great bike but I just didn't tour on it. Used it mostly for work and back and occasionally long ride. Found it heavy and wasn't happy with the suspension. The bob brought the fun back in ridding. Can toss around. Easier to ride. More power and just puts a smile on my face. Sure I need a Backpack or tank bag. But I'm okay with that when they're needed.

Officially a Low Rider owner!! Just got home with the new bike and wanted to say thanks to everyone for their info, gave me a higher level of comfort with making the switch from a touring bike to a new softtail.
Here she is at the dealer before I brought her home
Now the fun begins with customizing her, ordered a few parts. When they come in and I can make some time to install them, I'll make a new thread.
Thanks again everyone, the input was really helpful with my decision making process.
