Should I trade heritage for Road Glide???
My buddy at work is wanting to swap me for a 2010 I believe Road Glide with around 26,000 miles for my 2006 heritage softail with 24,000miles. He says the ABS is out on it, but will fix it. I haven't ridden the bike yet. But does anyone know if this would be a good trade. He said straight up trade, no money involved!

I don't know LOL! He caught me off guard, he is looking for a bike for his wife. Said he thought she would be able to handle mine better then the Road Glide. He has a street glide that he is upgrading the engine on. So he doesn't need the Road Glide.

He said he thinks the modulator is out, but not sure. I have only seen the bike a couple of times in his garage, and the few times he brought it to work. I do remember it has a busted bracket on one of the exhaust pipes. He said he thought it had 26,000 miles on it, but wasn't sure. It was his brothers bike and he bought it from him a while back. It has been sitting for a while now. I may go take a look at it and take it for a spin.

On paper it’s a lopsided deal in your favor financially. In reality it depends on the condition of both bikes. Unknown headaches of a bike with mixed histories (brother of a friend leaves a lot of grey area) can be a real joy kill when trying to enjoy riding. You know your bike and that peace of mind might be valuable.
On the other hand....if you ride it and really like his bike - might be worth the jump. Trade in will be far better down the road most likely too unless it has a fatal flaw.
if it turns out to be a raw deal will it hurt your friendship?
Personally, I’d prefer the Heritage so it all depends what you like riding mostly.
