I am new to softail's... I have a 2017 Heritage with factory spoke wheels... I thought I have tube in the tires, however while washing the wheels today I noted on the wheels and tires it said "Tubeless tires". Are these TUBELESS ???

Tires are but the wheels are not, so yes you have tubes in the tubeless tires.

 

Actually, if the rim says tubeless, they are indeed tubeless spokes. I have a set that I modified a little to fit on my '06 Deluxe. They use a special rim liner that seals the tire to the rim.

Again, if it says "TUBELSS" on the RIM, it is tubeless. You cannot run a tubed tire on it. The tubeless liner fits under the tire bead, so you can't use those wheels without the liner. The tire just won't fit correctly

 

Just about all tires are designed tubeless. The majority of spoke wheels are not though. I ran some tubeless fat daddy spoke wheels and the system worked great for a number of years before the front started leaking. When that happens either re-seal the rims or go tubes.

 

By deductive reasoning, I believe the following will help:

Look at your valve stem. If the stem is threaded right down to the rim, and if there is a nut binding the bottom of the stem to the rim - you have tubes, regardless what the tire reads.

Not necessarily. The tubeless rim liner for the tubeless rims has the threaded valve stem too.

Again, regardless of what the tire says, if the RIM says tubeless.....then it is tubeless

 

My father in law had the tubeless spoked "profile" wheels. He hated them and added tubes. They leaked.
