Default Used 18 Heritage's hit market

Was surprised to see so many used 2018 Heritage bikes for sale on Rumbleon.com

priced from $12,999. My guess, they bought them at auction. Bet they were ex Harley test ride bikes. Considering the year, they would still have factory warranty. All have around 20,000 miles, some a bit more.

this company, Rumbleon.com is going to have a impact on the used market. The best deal in my opinion are the used 18 touring models.

I had a fairly long talk yesterday with the owner of an 18 107 Heritage.
He is VERY happy with the bike (compared to his earlier bikes). A couple of TC Heritages and Evo baggers. He said this will
corner better, stop better, it's WAY smoother, and the susp is leaps & bounds better, the whole deal.
He is just not happy with the whirring, ticking, oil spewing motor.
The dealer says the noises are normal (??!!) and they are (trying) to address the oil blow by (coming out of the air cleaner/breathers etc)
In that regard, he regrets trading in his 103 TC. He did say the 107 has more torque out of the box.

20,000 miles in a year...they were put through some decent paces which probably accounts for the price a bit.

No issues with mine in 12,000 miles. Just delivers the goods. Most owners I’ve heard about are similarly satisfied. There’s lemons in every bunch...Twin Cams certainly had some clunkers too. We all just keep our fingers crossed mostly. Good so far.

I rode the '18 Heritage and it does accelerate, handle and stop very nicely. It had a ***** feeling fly by wire, like it would delay and I could not get it into neutral except from 2nd gear. Probably something that could be adjusted in both cases. That was the only negatives I could find on a nice long test ride.

I solved the oil issue by running the oil level just slightly below the recommended level. I believe others have done the same.

Same old story. I haven’t found the spot yet on my M8, but my TC’s were always ran at half on the stick when hot. Never a drop.

Agree; the upside to these bikes is the factory warranty. If I bought one I would buy a 7 year unlimited mileage HD extended service contract. Then ride worry free, regardless of the miles.

these bikes are far from perfect cosmeticly.

You can see "Eagle Rider" reflections in some of the photos on Rumble On. That's a lot of miles with uncertain maintenance...

The owner's manual says exactly that too.
