Default new battery

hi all
the battery in my 2005 HARLEY finally bit the dust , can't removed the operator seat. I've removed the screw from top left fender, lifted the back of seat ,PULLED towards back of my scooter, LIFTED & PULLED ect. for the best of 1 hour 1/2 to no avail. Except longer arms.
Will try any all suggestions HILLBLLY MIKE

If your 2005 Harley is a Heritage Softail, there are hold down screws on the left and right side of the rider's saddle along with the one that attaches to the fender. Remove all three and slide it back and it will come right off.
