Very cool! Congratulations. Closest I ever got to winning anything was standing next to a guy at a HD dealership who won a brand new Blackline at a CCA raffle. Oh well, i still had fun talking to the guy and checking out his new bike.

The bike looks perfect right next to that Vette. The Vette may be parked a little more often once you get up and running on the bike - don't be surprised. Congrats

Welcome and congratulations!

Definitely take at least a beginners course at the dealer. Riding a larger street bike is a very different experience then many people realize. Just because they have at one time or another ridden a dirt bike or scooter they think it is the same only with a bigger bike.

I'll bet here in California 50% of the people out on weekends on bikes ( especially HD) do not have fundamental skills and are an accident waiting to happen. They cant come to a stop without hanging both feet to the ground for the last 5 mph and only using the front brake, cant make a U turn on a 2 lane road with out making it a 3 point turn. My point is you are on a 600 lb + bike and taking the time to learn basic fundamentals will keep you safe and make your rides more fun.

Enjoy the bike, !

My 85' had chain drive, 4 speed and kick start.
I (think) 86's had 5 speed and drive belt?

The older belts aren't as well made and they all have a service lifespan.
Replace the drive belt if your not sure it has been done in the last few years.

Congrats! Welcome!
and it looks like you are already blessed with the Mancave and Vette.
I had 3 older Vettes but I am just a bike guy now.
Guns and Guitars, get a lot of my free time and money.

That is awesome and the bike looks perfect in your garage. It seems you have down the basics covered on how to get out on the road with your new scoot. Congrats and welcome to the family.
