^what he said,

But as a side note, unless you're SERIOUSLY tight on money I would buy a new carb not a used one off eBay. Is there a reason you need to replace your stock CV? If jetted properly they'll work perfectly for the vast majority of applications.

I have switched things around just because I wanted too... many times in fact... nothing wrong with that... can't help with the link though...

I am curious... What, if any, problem you are trying to fix...?

The CV40 Carb is under appreciated in my opinion, and actually a great performer up to about 110 HP... They are pretty easy to dial in, and easy to totally rebuild... Parts are readily available... Check out the CV Performance website for parts and a lot of tutorials about tuning, rebuilding, etc...

S&S makes great carbs. I had one (because I wanted it) on my '80 FXS for awhile. But now that I am older, wiser, and cheaper.... I would rebuild the OEM or buy an actual new CV carb... unless needing the S&S for a high power build......

I guess he changed his mind... Too bad, S&S is a great carb...
