Default Debadging the tank on a 2016 Breakout

Has anyone successfully removed the badges from their Softail Breakout without damaging the paint? How did you do it?

They are applied with industrial strength double sided tape. Paint safe, non chlorinated solvent and fishing line can beat that- patience is required, but they will come off.

Yes , take some fishing line and work it back and forth and cut the backing tape until the badge falls off . Then you can use some Goo Gone or WD40 to remove the rest off the tape ( takes some time , use a clean rag ) . Once your down to the clear coat , use something like Mcquires Scratch X to polish the area . Your done !

Be sure to use a Mono-filament line! The braided type lines WILL scratch the paint.

Thanks all

Took all of about 30 minutes to do both sides. I love the clean look it gives. now to replace the center console. I wish there was a one piece, chrome console.

Thanks. Do you know of any places that make custom center consoles?
