Default Horn Relocation

Has anyone relocated the cow bell horn on their Softail? I am retrofitting an Audi racing caliper cooling fan to mount between the cylinders on the 00FLSTC. I’m looking at the frame down tubes above the regulator for the horn. Perhaps someone has already figured it out and could give me a step up.
Thanks—-Jerry

The cowbell is always the first part I remove from my Harley. I used an aftermarket horn and installed it on the front of the upper frame as you can see in the photo.

I’ve been toying with doing the whole coil & horn relocations on my ‘17 Slim. The one thing I like about the cowbell horn is that it is fairly loud. It seems like the aftermarket ones that mount on the frame in front of the front cylinder are much quieter.

Someone on here modified something that allowed them to mount the OEM horn on the frame in front of the front cylinder, but I think that would look funny.

It may be that we are seeing that cowbell on the cylinders for so long it looks out of place anywhere else.

I ordered it from DK Customs. All I wanted was for the cowbell to be gone and the horn moved to a location that was out of view.

Thanks Bill,
My cow bell is in the way of the cooling blower I’m installing. I never use my horn but when I do I want it to scream. DK Customs has a neat little air horn setup to mount on the right side of the Softail, I may want to blast the cell phone out of their hand

That is the same location I used for my Nautilus mini. It's pretty inconspicuous and extremely loud.
I'll try to post a pic or two when I am at home.

Here's pics, the flat bar used to mount the horn is bolted to a stock Rocker saddlebag mount;

hth,

nice installation and good photos. My Heritage bags are a little different and that bag frame bolt is lower...might be too low.
DK Custom has a Stealth Bracket for that horn specific for the early Heritage Classics.
Are you happy with the horn???
thanks for the help WKNDS
