I am wondering if a PC V on a stock TC 103 will open it up noticeably in stock air/exhaust configuration.

 

If you order the PC-V from Fuelmoto, they will preload a tune on it for free. Just tell them what you have and what you want. Tell them you want a performance tune using the stock configuration and see if that works for you. Don't get it from Dynojet, They won't load any tunes and they charge for for future tune downloads. They won't do a custom tune but you can download a canned generic tune from their website for free IIRC. Fuelmoto offers free tunes and advice for life. You will need a laptop to download and install the tunes yourself but it is real easy. Install a simple toggle switch and install it to the PC-V and you can switch between two tunes (economy or performance) at your leisure.

FuelMoto has an "improved stock tune" for their PowerVision tuners. I got it, with a couple extra PV licenses, and I flashed it to a couple of close friend's bikes. They claim a noticeable change from the stock tune and like it..

FuelMoto gives excellent tune map support for the DynoJet products they sell... I would suspect they have an "improved stock tune" for the Power Commander V as well...

FWIW... I have never dealt with support for a PC V tuner, but I have had DynoJet customize a tune map for my 2003 Heritage. I had an HD big bore kit and HD big bore flash download. I captured that tune with my powervision tuner, sent that tune to DynoJet, they "tweaked it", and sent it back. It made a very noticeable performance difference over the HD download tune... So, I have had custom tune support from DynoJet too, but I had to call them to get it...
