2017 flstfbs issues
Short story. Jumped on the bike, rode about 10 minutes with no issues. Stopped for 5 minutes and now the bike will crank, but not stay running. Checked battery and it's fine. Any thoughts on what to check next?
Did you check the battery cables too...?
Especially the ground where it connects to the frame, by the front of the seat...
Cranks, starts, and then stops...?
Any recent work, mods, or maintenance done....?
Have you checked for any codes...?

Check cables
ground is good.
cranks, starts, then immediatly shuts off.
no recent mods or maintenance.
It started fine this morning. I rode about 10 minutes with no issues. Shut it off and when I went to start it again that's when this started.

Thanks for the additional info.... did you check for codes...?
If there are no codes to point you in a certain direction, then it's back to basics.... compression, fuel, and spark.
By your description, we can probably rule out compression.. for now....
Take your pick... start with one... spark or fuel... If satisfied its good, then move on to the other...
I would pull a plug right after it dies to see if it's wet with gas.. If it is, I'd probably move on to spark.. if not, I'd get a gauge and check/watch fuel pressure as the key is turned on, as it starts, and when it stops. They make gauges that fit between the tank fitting and the fuel line to the fuel injectors... it allows you see in real time what the fuel pressure is doing...
There are also spark testers that fit between the spark plug and plug wire... again, allow for real time visual evidence of a spark.
Once you figure out which one is lacking, then you need to find out why...
Without a code, you need to work from A to B with no shortcuts.. be thorough, be systematic, and be persistent... you'll find it..
Good luck and report back what you find...

You can disable security with the dealers Digital Tech II, or one of the aftermarket tools that do much of the same ($$$$)....
But I believe if it was security acting up, it wouldn't start... or even crank for that matter..
Hate to sound like a broken record.... but have you checked codes yet....?
I thought I read something in my manual that the bike would start and shut down after a few seconds if the security was armed? Guess i better re-read some of that stuff. Never tried it myself, it was just a quick thought on the problem.
