Nope... Maybe I have just conditioned by HD that spending more is a good thing. I thought HD stood for "Hundred Dollars"... as in everything is over a.....

Seriously though, you get what you pay for stands true most of the time. That deal just seems too good to be true.

Hey, I think Wild One makes the same "studds" for about $50...I try to stay away from "too cheap"...if that part fails, you are gonna have some work and maybe damages. The $30 more you spend buying from areputable co. is worth it to me...I got the Arlen Ness...But whatever.

The ride is bumpy, but it all depends on how you ride and where you ride...It's the little bumps you feel more. One day I am going to change to air suspension, but it was a good mod for the money.

I saw those too and asked my local mechanic about them. I had purchased the one from Progressive for $135. He stated that you really need to buy from a reputable manufacturer. The Progressives have the rubber bushings installed. He said you could try to take off the stock bushings from the stem on the stock shocks, but run the risk of damaging them. Plus, you don't know the quality of the metal stems (could be made in China). I had mine lowered 1 1/2 inches. No noticeable difference in ride quality. I just lowered the rear, so I didn't have to change the stock kickstand either. I have an '05 deuce.

I have the arlen ness kit, go ahead and spend the extra $

Mine is down a little more than 2", but there is a difference in the ride. Rougher, but once you get used to the little bumps the only thing you will feel is the really big ones. At first i could feel everything but not anymore. I also have my front lowered so that effects it too.

I'll go against the grain on this one. I bought a kit from eastern performance that cost about$30.00 shipped to my house. I beleive it was made bymid west mfg. Ilowered my fender a little moe than 1.5 inches. It looks like a well made set.My bikewas new so I re-used the rubbers. No big deal. I only have about 500 miles on it , but double checked them this week and all is well.

Good Luck.

I went with a fairly cheap 100$ kit and its been great...
but I generally agree with above, you get what you pay for and one of the 2 wheels holding you up isnt a place to cut expenses imho

those pictures don't look like they do they same thing...

I mean, on the top part there is a male thread and a 'hole' end like a tire rod on a go kart

on the bottom there is a male thread on both ends...

From what I seen on the softail shocks (even though I didn't lower my own). I don't think the top is for a softail harley.. I could be wrong and I'm sure I'll find out
