so im about to put gas yank back on the rubber seal for the fake gas gauge on 2005 fxst has a very passive click not a hard click i have to replace the rubber seal ring its dry rotted....anyone even silicone these things in to keep them from falling out?...like i said...it clicks but its a very passive click due to how the crimps in the tank are...they make this oring?....silly sh@t harley does SMH...lol gas gauge works fine

 

There is a O-ring that fits under the gas gauge. Part # 61192-96A

 

its not an o ring its a round rubber foam type piece i think its part of the acual gauge its cracked and fell apart..just under the chrome ring up top

 

 

must be covid...4 bucks for the part...34 dollars to get it to my door...i'll wing it with an oring...lol silicone it in thanks brothers!

 

Don't silicone that. Get the correct part.

I Googled it and saw it for $10 shipped if there is not a Harley shop close by.
