Not all new batteries come fully charged.... Some new batteries come defective...
If installed correctly and the bike was working prior to the new battery install, sounds like your new battery isn't supplying proper amperage to start the bike...
Fully charge the battery and try it again. Use a battery smart charger, not a tender/maintainer. While waiting for the battery to fully charge, check your connections, especially grounds, and check fuses (you may have shorted out something during the install)...
If the battery is fully charged, the connections and fuses are all good, and it still won't start.... load test the battery...
