Default Upgrading my Air Intake

Hi Everyone,

I am installing some Vance & Hines chrome Short Stocks on my 2020 Softail Standard FXST. I ride up here in Vancouver, British Columbia and as you may be well aware it rains a lot. I know to install new pipes, I need to upgrade my air intake, but it rains a lot up here and I like to ride in the rain. Has anyone got any ideas on an upgraded air filter system that is easy to install and will be ok in the wet or all year round? without a rainsock!!

I don't mind what it looks like, what brand it is or price. I am looking more for practicality over aesthetics. I was looking to keep a with a chrome look, the S&S Cycle Teardrop? But would that be good enough for an upgraded air intake? Also does it keep out the rain as much as the FXST Stock Standard air intake?

All your help is greatly appreicated,

Thanks,

Matilda

Changing exhaust doesnt mean u need a better intake. Put your pipes on and ride it.

Leave the stock intake if it's not affected by the rain. When you upgrade the intake and exhaust it's generally recommended to get a tuner, so just enjoy the pipes for now.
