Am I crazy?
You ARE the king of the road, you ride 175000 miles a year and you post on here 30 times a day, rebuild bikes, club member, and local antagonist!
WHERE do you find the time?
WHERE do you find the time?
It was a dick joke to make. I just don't like Texans.

Recorded by many, but Ray Charles killed it.

I prefer the Humble Pie version...
I say if you want it, buy it!
I have (3) in the stable at the moment ( old to new) and as soon as I sell the car in the garage I will have enough room for how ever many bikes I can park in the space a Dodge Challenger now takes up?
I'm not aggressively searching but I have a few bikes on my list ( old and new) that if I run across that perfect one and not have to drive across Country to get it, I would like to have more...
For some reason I always wanted a orange and black 2009+ XR1200, I can still remember the first time I seen one. Also, If I could ever locate my first Harley a 1996 1200 Sportster or one like it in the limited ( 50 bikes I think it was ) Orange ( Creamsicle Color ) I had, I want it!
To this day i want that exact Creamsicle paint again however now 29 years later I may no longer be a Sportster size guy anymore as I have gained a few pounds!
Its said a Harley picks you... I have had a few I passed by and she wanted me to take her home but I didn't, now wish I had...
All those years in the 90's I would walk right past those then new Buell Lightnings on the showroom floor and now I ask, why did I not buy one?
I wish I could now find and remember the Youtube video I watched one night that "changed me" The guy was doing a video about something "new Harley bike" and towards the end he had the thought and suggested that some people prefer NOT to buy a 1st year or new model Harley that first year after a redesign etc. But that YouTube guy wanted to stress when one finds a bike he wants and has the ability to pay for it ( even a first year new model ) HE should BUY IT and BUY IT NOW!
That Youtube guy went on to suggest the reason to buy now is we never know what tomorrow holds, what may happen in a year or so, He went on to say in a year one may NOT be "able" to ride or purchase that bike for whatever reason...
That simple YouTube statement hit home and changed me that night as I had been "looking" after buying my last new Harley many, many years before and alwasy having a reason not to but another I thought "He is right" as i'm not getting any younger and who knows what a year from now could bring? I thought today is the day! No more looking, thinking, researching, saying perhaps next year, Nope I'm buying a bike NOW!
I Went the next day and purchased a new bike and then another bike shortly after that so why stop now? Well i'm not made of money so you have that but as of today my health is good enough to hold one up, I'm still alive and I have heard it said one can't ride a 401K ( not that a large 401K applies to me, it don't, but if it did I think I would RIDE IT!
We all have priorities and thankfully my wife and I both understand the joy that "EVERYTHING HARLEY" brings to our table and the joy the last 3 decades of Harley has added to our life.
When she seen that video for that new 2025 Fat Boy Gray Ghost a few days ago she said sent me a text and said "lets get one"...
She has never objected to a new bike but she has said buy that new bike but don't sell the old one... I will say she is a keeper!
So many bikes, so may miles to ride, So little time!
