Default New Softail Standard

Just bought a 2006 FXSTI. Filled it up for the first time and the amber low fuel light is now on. Can't seem to get it to go off, but the tank is full. Any idea why?

Is the stock fuel gauge still on the bike or does it have an led one? If its led there is a wire that replaces the stock one so that light stops coming on and only the led low fuel will work .

Someone told me that if I run the tank a couple of times that may fix it, anyone got any other suggestions?

Pull the Maxi-fuse or dissconnect the battery for 15 minutes then reconnect or install the fuse.

I rode a new '08 custom last week. Nice ride but way different from my Fatboy. It is hard to believe these are from the same family they feel completely different. No advice but have fun with your new ride.

They are very inaccurate, mine comes on at 100 miles, annoying. I would take back to the dealer if you bought from one and have them adjust it.
