just wondering if anyone else is having this problem i have a 07 fxst with the 21 front tire ,it keep on going flat once on the road i took it to a shop they said they couldnt find anything in the tire so they replaced the tube and off i went ,a month later its flat again i dont see anything in the tire ,does anyone know if the rim maybe defective ?? has anyone had this problem to ?? or is it just my bad luck again ,thanks Rich

 

Sounds like a spoke is poking into the tube or there is another sharp edge that is. I'd take the tire off, remove the tube and rubber liner on the wheel and look for protruding spokes, or some sharp edges that may be cutting into tube. Make sure you have nothing sting in the tire too. Put in a new rubber liner , in fact put two for extra protection.

Try removing the tube, inflate it and dunk it in the kitchen sink full of water to find where the air is escaping. If the OL b|tches too much about that, grab her liquid dish detergent, mix about 1:3 with water and slop it on the tube to look for bubbles.

 

i had the same thing happen years ago and likewheel guysaid the spoke was causing it. had to remove rubber liner and grind down spoke inside of wheel.

If all this fails and you discover its just plain old bad luck, use Greem Slime (for tubed tire) this should even your odds.
