Default 02 Heritage Front Fender

What years will fit my 02 Heritage Classic? I'm hearing a lot of variations. I need to replace my front fender. Friday was a beautiful day to ride, but the results weren't as pretty. Bumped a surburban from behind. I'm fine, the bike is fine, other than the front light and the nose of the fender.

I'm searching Craigs List and Ebay, most of what I see used, isn't much better that what I have, new is pretty expensive. Any suggestions, I haven't looked at?

Thanks
Driver

You should be fine at least up until 2006. There was a tire change for the 07-08 but I do not know if it would affect the front fender.

One of our local harley dealers has what they call the boneyard. It is a separate business in a business park 10 miles away that sells all of the take off parts and such. They also usually fenders and such in various states of condition. They don't ship and aren't real helpful over the phone.

I found out about it when asking the local dealer about a set of take off exhaust. It's kind of a secret. A buddy needed a fender and gas tank for his fatboy. He was talking a guy at the local dealer and the parts guy knew someone that was selling the entire tin set for a similar bike and made a really good deal.

You might want to call the local dealers to see if something like this exists near you. The next best bet is patience and ebay, or craigslist.com.

Good luck!

Thanks for the information. After a lot of searching here is what I found.

There are a lot of "used" fenders out there, but most have a defect (dents, major scratchs, etc). They range from around $50 up into the hundreds. I actaully found a couple of online dealers that sell new after market replacements. I found the price to be little more than the used ones, some times cheaper. They are bare metal and will have to be primed and painted, but I would have to do that with a used one too. My fender should be here by the weekend. Now I have to do a color matching.
