Default 1996 Heritage Nostalgia - Front Fender

Question for the Softail experts.

Buddy of mine was in an accident with his 1996 Heritage Nostalgia, FLSTN. He is being told by HD that the fender is specific to the Nostalgia and very difficult to locate. They may have one, unpainted +$500.

Now his bike is/will be custom painted, so matching paint is not the issue. From a stand point of the fender/metal, is the Nostalgia fender really different from a Heritage of the same vintage? I may believe it has more of less holes for the Script or trim, but seems very un-Harley like to have a special fender for just one model.

I was trying to get him to save some $$$ and get a used fender from the Bay, he is convinced that he needs something special. If all the same, can you provide year ranges for me to search on the Bay.

Please learn me, thanks in advance.

Sorry guys, found my answer.

Part #59129-86 is for Heritage and Nostalgia, $468.99 primed from the Factory.

I guess my final inquiry from the group would be year ranges that the 1996 front fender fall into, again for Bay searching. Thanks.

How many years use the same stamped fender (I am guessing a decent range)?
Other than the holes for trim & possibly script.
I have read that bagger sheet metal is different (but not first hand knowledge) than softail.

HD has a tendency to price parts like they are made of platinum.
If he is having them painted the holes can be removed or added before it is shot.
Odds are an old fender (in pristine condition) will be as good if not better.
