Hey folks I have an 08 Deluxe and am looking for swingarm axle nut covers. Right now I have the HD Script covers (41575-08) that were made for an 08 model. Apparently there is a difference in the axle nuts or something onthe 08 so that it is year specific. Anyway, I don't like them... too small(lesson learned $200 later) and asked the dealer about the lager ones (48112-00). He said they won't fit. Not usre if I beleive him that would be $114 to find out. I guess with both these items you have to take loosen the axle nut to slip the mounting hadware behind it. Does anyone have an 08 and if so what are you using? Also, I like the Arlen Ness Torpedo covers and wonder if they will fit?

I have an '08 FXSTC and would like to have the swingarm pivot covers as well as the rear axle nut covers. Every Harley dealer I talk to says they should be out but they havent seen anything yet. The only Harleyrear axle swingarm cover I found for an '08 was a cool $200...........Ouch!!!!!!!!!!

I just got the axle covers as well for my 08 fatty. I dont think any of the other ones will fit. I like those arlen ness torpedo covers too and thats what i wanted until i heard they wouldnt work on an 08. Im waiting on those swingarm pivot bolt covers too. They need to come with it.

 

Drawdown- where did you hear that the Arlen Ness won't fit ? I was really hoping they would. As for the pivot bolt covers. I bought a pair from the dealer and one fit one side but the other didn't fit.The pair has one that is deeper and smaller diameter and one that is shallow and larger. The 08 needs 2 of thefirst one,so I ended up buy another pair and usingone from each pair.

 

Just heard back from Arlen Ness and they state that the Torpedo covers won't fit 07 and 08s.
