I HAVE A2008 SOFTAIL STD V&H FUELPAK BIGSUCKER A/C .BIKE POPS ON DECEL AND ALSO WHEN TRY TO KEEP TO TOWN LIMITS 60KPH/35MPH IN2ND OR 3RD GEAR THERE ARE NO AIR LEAKS ANY WHERE I AM ALSO RUNNING V&H PROPIPE .MY QUESTION IS HAS ANY BODY BEEN ABLE TO TUNE A EFI BIKE TO THE POINT WHERE IT DOES NOT POP ANYWHERE IN ITS THROTTLE RANGE .IF SO WHAT SET UPS DID YOU USE.WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE ANY INFO AS I AM JUST ABOUT READY FOR ONE OF THOSE WHITE JACKETS .

Go to Vanceandhines.com. There is a link to their tech support. Email them and tell them what kind of bike/pipes/ac you have, and tell them what the problem is and they may be able to help you.

 

The only problem you have is that it hasn't been dynoed. Spend the money, it'll maximize all of your additions for hp, tq, and mpg.

 

I had the pop, snap, and crackle,,,,,,,,,,,dyno tune $200.00, bike runs like a dream, at any speed, up, down, anyway you throttle, no more BS.!

 

Called Vance and Hines on this issue. Hey had me change mode 23from16 to15. Cured most of my decel pop.

You have a 2008 Softail Standard ???? I thought they stopped making them in 2007 . . . sorry, just kinda odd.

 

They are still made for the export market.

what set up do you have on your bike? it would be good to get my bike to run like yours. I have been to a dyno and he could not do it. have been in contact with V&H via emails and phone. phone is the only way to get hold of them as rarely answer emails.

 

I have the same snap,crackle and pop that 6165hd had. Had my bike Dynoed at a Stealership here in MD. After two hours, five test runs by me and a $200 tab, I still have the same snap,crackle and pop, A/FR is 14.2, HP 73,TQ 82.9and the bike runs well. I was told by the Dyno Guru who did my bike that he could not get rid of the decel popbecause of my exhaust, AC and SERT combination. I have had same problems on previous Harleys with PC's and DFO's but after raising HellI could always get the problem solved. I do know for a fact that this problem can be cured, I just have to find a competent Dyno Tech. Each Stealership claims to have a Dyno Tech that canwalk on water. I live 25 miles south of York,PA in N Central MD. IHAVE BIKE WILL TRAVEL, does anyone definitely know of a competent Dyno Tech? 6165hd, what year bike do you have and where in NE PA did you get your bike Dynoed?
