I have an '06 Softail with the 200 series tire. I converted it to a solo spring seat and rigid rear fender a couple years ago. Now that I'm about to be married I really need to put this bike back to the two up version. My questions is can I put an earlier model softail seat on the late model bike. I've measured my buddies frame ( '96 ) and the width appears to be the same, the swingarm even looks like it's the same one, they just crammed a big tire in there and used a skinny belt for clearance. If anyone knows for sure please let me know. Thanks.
