Default Any Difference between '04 and '05 ?

I'm looking at getting a solo seat for my 05 Standard. I'm looking at LePera but when i called to ask if seat will fit an 05 they told me they only go up to 04, it looks like the same bike to me and the 04 seat would fit an 05. Has anyone changed a seat on an 05 Standard?

Check at the HD shop. Look at the accessory catalog and see if the seats for an '05 are also marked for the '04 models.

hey there copycat...just kidding man. i too just bought the solo lepera and waiting for it to come ithe mail. can't wait i can tell already when i have the stock seat off how much better it's going to look. Now let talk about pipes. these stock pipes on the 05 standard are way to quiet. guy at the hd shop says it's bad for the motor to run withought the baffles(back pressure i guess), but i like loud. I want to hear my bike when i ride (and everyone else). i was thinking about the screaming eagles mufflers, these to come with baffles and wonder if the diffrence in sound is really that noticeable. any ideas please. thanks. jake.

The stock seat on my 05 FLSTF waas causing back pain .. I tried the sundowner and it was worse. I finally broke down and bought a Corbin Solo seat and man what a difference (with a back rest of course) no pain no problems on long rides - their seats are stiif yet very very comfortable. V-Twin had a great story on pipes and what the impact of making them too short or removing baffles, good read.
