when you go to trade in a bike at a dealer they dont like taking bikes with these tach/speedo's because it is easy to change the millage. I got the cold sholder trying to trade in a bike with a harley tach/speedo from 2 diferent dealers.
worked out for me in the end cause I made 3k more selling the bike on my own...

i was thinking that it would be hard to see but it looks good lol. the place i bought it from asked how many miles i think i will have on my bike in 3 weeks so harley can calibrate the mileage. the catalog says the dealer can do it so i dont know.

mike,

I would really like to add a tachto my rocker-c. However, can barely read the 4" speedo numbers now. And, onthecombo speedo/tach they are even smaller. Need HD to redesign the combo speedo/tach so I can read the numbers without taking eyes off the road and leaning my face half-way down to the tank to read the speedo. I'm sure I'm not the only one, I've got 20/20 vision (before lightly tinted helmet visor).
The small numbers is what makes me hesitate as well as the $400 price tag. Pretty stout for something you don't really need anyway. But it is cool looking.

flyburch,

lol...since you've already ordered, guess you are feeling like there are plenty of reasons to justify the purchaseto accompany your sweet flush-mounts tank caps. Who knows, maybe once I see one glowing in one of the thousands of possible colors, color-coordinated with the lights on the LED fuel guage, the cool factor will override all logic and practicality, and I will have to Jones-it Hey man, looks matter, rock-on!!!

It is real easy to read once you get use to it. I drive mostly by the tach and then look at the SPEEDO. Have not got stopped yet. I like it alot better then original. BLING is there but was worth it for the space and did not want an additional tach on top of the risers.

I got the speedo/tach for my 2002 Heritage and installed it myself. It was pretty easy, but I did not initally get the pink wire plugged in all the way and it took a couple of times to get it right. Finally I felt the wire go in about another 1/8 of an inch and it seated and then the tach started working. I ordered it from Zanotti's and it was a little over $300 with the discount. A good little chunk of change for something I didn't need. But I wanted it. For a long while. I am glad I got it.

A tad would be a big stretch..... Quite a bit smaller in size, but if these 52 year old eyes can still read it then you youngsters should have NO Problem.....
