Default My 1st harley

Hey Guys,
Im new the forum, just purchased a used 2004 fatboy. Sierra red. Had screaming eagle slip ons added and a few chrome accessories (grips, footboards, derby and timer cover.) Any suggestions of other nice add ons for a fatboy. I have a limited budget. I am looking for some more power. What would you guys suggest as the first step?
Thanks for all help
Excited about being a harley owner.
Sean

If your looking for more power having the SE Slip-ons is a start, I suspect someone had re-jetted the carb if it is not the EFI version. Next step change the ignition which is about $250, from there its time to go 95" which is new heads, values, pushrods ..etc. about $2,495 (Stage-II). Check to see of you have the SE Air Cleaner as this should have been installed along with the SE slipons.

Cheers,
Randy

I have an 05' Fat Boy with lots of updates, next week or two it goes to 95" and about 97HP or so.

Good lookin' bike, I like the dealer's floor as well...obviously he's making money!

Did you put a Stage I on the bike, I don't think you mentioned it in your post. It's a pretty cheap way to get the engine breathing a little better.

Pilot,
I did not tell them to put the stage 1 on the bike. Do you mean the new air cleaner and what not. I think I wil call and have that done today. Like I said I am new to this and dont fully understand what upgrades are the most practical. My dealer has been helpful but I always get nervous about them ripping off a rookie harley owner. They did tell me the vance and hines lonhshots while cool, would cost a grand plus on an efi bike. The dalership gives me 15% off for one year from purchase so I really want to take my time and do this right.
Thanks for all your help its nice to have a place to discuss bikes and not feel stupid if you dont know a lot YET!!!!
