Default Fatboy Badlander seat fitment

Just got a Badlander vinyl seat, the metal piece in the front of the seat supposed to go under the bracket but it doesn't, any idea? This is not the first HD seat I experience problem, have a Brawler solo seat on my other Sportster, same issue. I don't understand how hard to make a seat that fits, typical HD product. [:@]
Anyone?

Maybe that metal tab on the Badlander needs to be bent a little??

Thanks
The metal tab is too short actually, I might have to extend it a little.
Now.......How do you cap the 2 side mounting holes of the factory seat? I am thinking to get the HD skull head bolts to cap them.

I believe those&nbsp\\;bolts are the same ones&nbsp\\;that hold the rear fender.

I am thinking to use Skull bolt to cap them, just replaced the mounting bolt. I love this seat, although it is not comfy but looks much better.

oh - those 2 bolts..... your seat covers them, right? I left the stock under my "new" seat. that way, if I want to swap back to my stock Fat Boy seat... all the hardware is right at hand.

Yeah, that's right. I want to keep them in case I put the stock seat for long ride.
